Qwen is optional and downloaded separately
If you select Qwen during setup, the selected models are downloaded directly from the official Qwen organization on Hugging Face. Model files are not embedded in this installer.
Worker and models run only with the app
There is no Windows service or autostart entry. Qwen loads on the first job, stays cached between jobs, can be released with Unload models, and exits with the application to free RAM and VRAM.
What it does
Waveform and cue blocks
Choose an exact range on the waveform, see existing subtitles on the same timeline, and open a cue from its block.
A language for each range
Transcribe different sections of one file with different source languages. Results share one time-sorted subtitle table.
Queue or detailed pass
Process the full queue automatically with one setup, or refine one selected media file range by range.
Safe repeated passes
Run recognition again on the same timing, replace the affected cues, and keep the common table in chronological order.
Transcript or translated SRT
Create transcription subtitles or translate them into the selected target language, then edit and save the final SRT.
Memory under your control
Models load only when processing starts, remain ready for the next job, and can be unloaded without closing the editor.
Premiere Pro Transcript
The optional UXP panel connects locally while Subtitle Studio is open and imports the result into Premiere's native Transcript.
Two working modes
Run queue
Use one language, translation target, context, and model setup for every waiting file. Finished SRT files are created automatically and the queue remains available for follow-up work.
Process selected range
Open one media file, set an exact in/out range, choose the source language for that segment, and send the result into the same subtitle track.
Installation
Internet access is required for runtime installation. Everything is stored in one installation folder; the Windows default is %ProgramFiles%\Subtitle Studio.
Choose the setup language
Start SubtitleStudio_Setup_v0.6.2.exe, choose English or Russian, and confirm the installation folder. The default is %ProgramFiles%\Subtitle Studio; updates preserve the existing location.
Choose components
The Premiere panel is selected by default. Keep it enabled for Premiere Pro 26.3+, and select only the optional Qwen model sets you need.
Components stay together
App-local .NET is installed to Runtime\dotnet, the AI runtime to Runtime\qwen-env, and optional Qwen models to Models\Qwen inside the selected application folder. System PATH is not changed.
Manage models and memory
Add compatible model folders, switch ASR, timing, and translation models, or use Unload models to release RAM and VRAM without reinstalling the app.
